Bible study resources added to website

There’s a new page on our church website, “Bible Study Resources”, listed under “More!” in the navigation bar. At the top of the page is a “verse of the day” from the New International Version. Scroll down the box to read the complete text.
There are also links to Bible search sites for reading and study, along with tools for Bible history and pictures of the Holy Lands of the Bible.
To listen to the Scriptures read aloud, click the link under “Audio Bible”.
Additional resources will be added over time.
Revised church constitution posted
December 25, 2008
The congregation voted to update the church’s constitution at the Annual Meeting on December 14, 2008. The revised version is now posted on the church’s website. To access it, click the “More!” button on the website, then click the “Links and Documents” button to open that page.

Annual Meeting information
December 10, 2008
The Cabinet of Olmsted Community Church will propose changes to the church’s constitution at the December 14 Annual Meeting of the congregation. The meeting will be held shortly after the 10 a.m. worship service. A copy of the proposed changes is available below in PDF format. Printed copies are available through the church office. Recommended changes are marked in red.
The changes will be explained and presented in detail at the congregational meeting. Feedback may be given to Cabinet At-Large members Jim Demko, Ken Gill, Bruce Smith, or Grant Richard.

Here also is a list of nominees for church leadership in 2009 and beyond. The list was prepared after much work by the Nominations Committee, and these persons will be presented for approval by the congregation.
