The Prada family are residents of Tiller Drive in Olmsted Township.  Janelle works as a medical transcriptionist for Southwest General Hospital, and Bill is a financial analyst for Key Bank. They enjoy spending time with their kids, coaching sports, reading, and running.  Their OCC sponsors are Mike and Lisa Sobera.

Our series of Bread and Broth suppers begins on March 16 and continues each Wednesday evening through April 20.  It’s open to all ages and features a simple soup and bread supper followed by singing, prayer and a faith/growth experience.  Our theme this year is Keeping Sabbath, and we’ll be learning about the spiritual practice of making time for God.

Lenten worship includes scripture readings and sermons that remind us of Jesus’ final journey toward Jerusalem and the powerful witness of his ministry in his last days.  All this leads us toward a joyful Easter celebration on Sunday, April 24.

Meet Jean Kradlak:

Jean joined OCC on November 21 and says she enjoys coming to church.  She is currently laid off from her position as office manager for Uhcan, a non-profit organization.  She is hoping to go back part time in January, but is keeping busy taking care of her 95 year old aunt Amy, who lives with her.  Jean enjoys gardening and reading, but most of all spending time with her three grown children and their families, all who live within walking distance from her house.  Jean and her husband recently travelled to Alaska and spent time with friends in Ketchikan.  They are hoping to travel to Hawaii some day and also to drive the coast of California.  She has been bringing her 6 year old grandson to Sunday school and she says she is impressed with the children’s programs at OCC.  Welcome Jean!

Meet the Millers:

Anna is Jean Kradlak’s daughter and she joined OCC on November 21 also, along with her husband David and their two daughters.  David is a chemist for Sherwin Williams.  Anna keeps quite busy taking their girls to Girl Scouts and gymnastics and she is very active in PTA.  Their family enjoys playing games, reading and spending time in the park.  They recently went to Kalahari and are looking forward to a trip to Hawaii in the future.  Anna and David lived in North Carolina for 10 years and moved back to Berea to be closer to family.  They says OCC reminds them of the United Church of Christ they attending in Greensboro and they feel quite at home here.  Welcome Anna, David, and their daughters!
