Food Pantry

The Food Pantry located at Olmsted Community Church is a project of many churches and groups working together in our community.  Sponsored by Christians in Action and hosted at OCC, the food pantry provides essentials (food, paper goods, toiletries) as they are available to persons in need.  We collect items year-round, and give a special emphasis to a Thanksgiving collection known as the “Turkey Hunt”.

The pantry is open each Friday afternoon for persons approved to receive items through Christians in Action.

Items that are most needed include:

  • spaghetti sauce and noodles
  • canned beef stew or chili
  • canned tuna, salmon, or chicken
  • canned chicken or chicken helper
  • boxed dinners such as hamburger helper, tuna helper
  • canned vegetables or soups
  • gelatin or pudding mixes
  • mac ‘n cheese box
  • apple sauce
  • tomatoes or tomato sauce
  • cake mixes
  • oatmeal or cream of wheat
  • canned potatoes
  • peanut butter & jelly
  • paper towels or napkins
  • soap and shampoo

We also accept fresh produce, but it can only be left on Wednesday or Thursday for Thursday distribution.  Collection bins are located at the parking lot entry and in the narthex of the sanctuary.

  • Saturday Worship, 5:00 PM

  • Sunday Worship, 10:00 AM

  • Our Pastor
